|||Durban - Sixteen people were injured when their taxi overturned on the M4 South, Durban, on Monday evening, paramedics said.
Their taxi apparently overturned and crashed into a barrier, said Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson.
“It is unclear what caused the single vehicle to overturn. However the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further,” Jamieson said.
The 16 people sustained various injuries and were all stabilised before being transported to various hospitals in Durban.
Traffic was severely affected as only one lane remained open while emergency services worked to clear the accident scene. - Sapa
