Twenty-five children were among those injured in an accident involving two taxis in Marianhill, according to paramedics.
|||Durban - More than 30 people, most of them children, have been injured in an accident involving two taxis on Thursday morning in Marianhill, KwaZulu-Natal, according to paramedics.
“We've got over 30 patients, of which 25 are school children aged between four and six,” said ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks.
“One taxi has overturned and one has gone down an embankment. All emergency personnel are on scene treating the injured.”
The injured were also being transported to various hospitals in the area.
The accident took place on Acorn Road at around 7am.
The cause of the accident was unknown at this time, said Banks. - Sapa
