|||Durban - Two alleged hit men were arrested on Sunday for the murder of Pietermaritzburg doctor Bhavish Sewram.
Sewram, 33, was shot dead in his car outside his surgery about six weeks ago.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesman, Captain Thulani Zwane, confirmed the arrest. He said details were sketchy.
But a police source said the suspects were picked up at their Copesville homes, yesterday morning by a provincial task team
They are set to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, and are expected to plead guilty.
The source said details about who hired the alleged hit men were expected to emerge in court.
A firearm believed to have been used to kill Sewram was seized.
Sewram’s wife, Yuvadia, declined to comment on the arrests.
The couple have two daughters, Lysti, five, and Zita, three.
