|||Durban - Two people were killed and six others seriously injured when a bakkie hit the back of truck on the N2 on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast on Monday, paramedics said.
“Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found accident debris and the twisted remains of the vehicle spread over a large area,” Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said.
“Paramedics stabilised the injured on scene before they transported them to an area hospital in Stanger for the care that they required,” he said.
One of the injured was airlifted to Ngwelezane hospital in Richards Bay.
The accident occurred around 7am near the Tugela bridge, said Botha.
The cause of the accident was not known.
