A KZN teen was killed after her came in contact with power cables while train surfing.
|||Durban - An uMlazi teenager who was train surfing on top of a passenger train was electrocuted when he came in contact with the power cables.
He died instantly. Passengers said there was a strong smell of something “burning” before the train stopped.
Another passenger said the teen was with a group of about 20 boys - they were train surfing to bid farewell to their friend who died recently. The friend’s death was not related to train surfing.
Police were not yet at the scene when the Daily News arrived. Hordes of people were at the scene watching.
