A 34-year-old man was arrested for stealing sacred brass deities and brass vessels from the Chinna Reddy Temple, in Park Rynie.
|||Durban - A 34-year-old man was arrested on Friday for stealing sacred brass deities and brass vessels from the Chinna Reddy Temple, in Park Rynie, on the South Coast, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
The police were given a description of the thief and found him hiding at a relative's house, said Captain Thulani Zwane.
“Police seized a bag found in his possession which allegedly contained sacred brass deities and brass vessels,” he said.
The man was expected to appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate's Court on Monday.
