Durban police have arrested a man for allegedly stealing a car.
|||Durban - A man was arrested for allegedly stealing a car in Morningside, Durban, police said on Wednesday.
He was arrested on Tuesday night, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
Police were conducting patrols in Morningside when they tried to stop a grey Toyota Yaris. The driver sped off and a chase ensued.
The man collided with a minibus taxi and six passengers were injured. He was taken to hospital where he was under police guard.
Zwane said the man faced 12 other charges of car theft. - Sapa
