A date has been set for when former KZN police spokesman Vincent Mdunge will stand trial for fraud and forgery.
|||Durban - Former KwaZulu-Natal police spokesman Vincent Mdunge will stand trial in the Durban Regional Court in March.
Magistrate Trevor Levitt scheduled the trial for three days from March 7.
Mdunge is accused of fraudulently presenting a fake matric certificate when he joined the police in 1987. He resigned after the allegation surfaced in September, and was arrested in October.
His lawyer, Saleem Khan, told the court that once the State had presented its case he expected to apply to the court to have the case dismissed. He said the State had no case against his client.
