The matter was postponed to April 15 for Skhumbuzo Nxumalo’s new attorney, Lungile Kheswa, to listen to recordings of the bail application proceedings.
Mgezeni “Bhungu” Gwala, his son Mjabulelwa, Malusi Sibusiso Ncengwa, Nxumalo, and Bonginhlanhla Gwala are charged with killing Inkatha Freedom Party supporter Cebisile Shezi.
She was shot dead outside the Thembalihle railway station in KwaMashu on October 6 last year, shortly after Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa addressed IFP supporters at a sports field.
Bhungu Gwala, Bonginhlanhla Gwala, and Ncengwa are out on bail.
